Whole school Rainbow Friday celebrations
At Shrewsbury Academy, we are immensely passionate about Equality, Diversity, Inclusion, and Belonging. We will always support our LGBTQ+ students, parents, staff and community in any way we can and as a testament to our commitment, we are proud to have achieved the Rainbow Flag Award, a national accreditation from The Proud Trust, recognising our commitment to LGBTQ+ inclusivity.
We have an exciting annual event coming up! Mark your calendars for Friday 30th June, when the entire school will join together for #RainbowFriday. On this special day, we encourage all students and staff to wear rainbow accessories on top of their school uniform. Let your creativity shine by adding rainbow socks, scarves, flags, hair accessories, masks, and more – welcomed as an addition to normal school uniform.
During break time, we will also be hosting a rainbow cake and accessory sale for students in the hall, should they wish to purchase any items.
