Students rewarded for their hard work and resilience

We are celebrating with our students today who have received some great GCSE results following the first series of exams after the challenging pandemic circumstances. They have worked incredibly hard with staff this year to provide a strong foundation for their future.

We pride ourselves on offering a balance between a pursuit for academic excellence alongside personalised pastoral care.

We are on an exciting journey for the development of our school and our Year 11 community have been a credit to the school and the town of Shrewsbury. Their outcomes show that even during a difficult year, their determination and resilience really pays off.

Headteacher at Shrewsbury Academy, Julie Johnson added, “I am delighted for them all, they have worked incredibly hard and all been fairly rewarded with today’s results. I know our students will go on to great things and I am proud to have supported them on this journey. Since joining The Marches Academy Trust, the school has gone from strength to strength and we continue to strive for success ensuring our students remain at the centre of everything we do.”

This year’s Open Evening will take place on 22nd September 2022 where prospective parents and the community are invited attend. Miss Johnson will showcase the school facilities and introduce the team that worked hard to make these results happen. More information can be found on our website shrewsburyacademy.co.uk.
