Shrewsbury Academy is now a Rainbow Flag Award holder!
To be in receipt of this award we had to evidence an inclusive curriculum, demonstrate pastoral support, show how we support parents and governors, demonstrate how our teachers are skilled in this area, show our effective policies and demonstrate how we incorporate student voice. Take a look at the images below for some of the review feedback.
Miss Frederick who led this opportunity commented; “I am delighted that we have achieved this national accreditation for our students, families, staff and community. However it does not stop at this award. We will continue to celebrate equality, diversity, inclusion and belonging here at Shrewsbury Academy”.
Huge congratulations to Miss Frederick and fellow staff for their hard work to achieve this. We look forward to continuing to develop an inclusive and diverse school – supporting our students, staff and community!
