Students publish a novel via the White Water Writing programme

Each year, ten of our Year 9 students are chosen to participate in the White Water Writing scheme – this focuses on creativity, challenge and communication.

For a week the students work together to co-create, co-plan and co-write an entire novel which is then published and sold on Amazon. The participants from Shrewsbury Academy always have an amazing time and continue to impress Richard Seymour who runs the programme.

This year the students have created a novel that has difficult content, but they have handled it with care and grace and created a nerve-wracking thriller entitled ‘Ways of Grieving’ which is now available to purchase from here.
